Committed to Justice in the Courtroom
Judge Argie Brame is proud to serve the citizens of Fort Bend County, bringing over 22 years of legal expertise and a deep commitment to fair and impartial justice.
Born and raised in Chicago, Judge Brame graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002, excelling in trial advocacy.
Her legal career began in insurance defense litigation, where she spent over five years handling complex cases in Chicago. In 2008, she relocated to Fort Bend County, Texas, broadening her focus to general civil litigation before following her passion for criminal law at the Fort Bend County Public Defender’s Office.
With a well-rounded background spanning civil and criminal law, Judge Brame has presided over approximately 30 jury trials and hundreds of non-jury trials, demonstrating her strong legal expertise, fairness, and dedication to justice.
As a trusted Fort Bend County judge, she remains committed to upholding the integrity of the court and ensuring justice for all.
Beyond the courtroom
Outside the courtroom Judge Brame is dedicated to community engagement and advocacy, with a strong focus on mental health awareness and youth mentorship. She actively participates in initiatives such as toy, food, and school supply drives and frequently speaks at local schools to inspire and empower young minds. An avid runner and cyclist, she also enjoys spending her spare time watching her kids compete in their basketball tournaments. Judge Brame resides in Sugar Land, Texas, with her husband, their children, and their family dog.

- COVID-19 Response: Implemented virtual hearings and court-generated orders to eliminate pandemic-related case backlogs, ensuring timely justice.
